Huge 5 feet tall rare 1940's Oldsmobile Service porcelain sign. I set a gallon of milk next to the sign so you can see just how large this sign is. The sign is marked on the beat up side: "Walker & Co. Detroit". The front side of the sign has some bad dings w the porcelain has chipped off. T is one "blemish" w someone punched a tear all the way through (please see image). The other side has what looks to be Krylon Teal spray paint sprayed on it as well as some white oil base that went on with a brush. I tried to clean some of it off but I don't have the time to devote to a full cleaning, I ran out of thinner. I'm sure all of the added paint could be stripped off. This is a very unusual sign with a triangle, micrometer and genie lamp atop some airforce-like heraldry. So far I have not seen any similar to this on ebay or on any internet sites. This is a real odd-ball. I am in Lake Elsinore CA and would prefer to deliver this item or have it picked up. I can meet or deliver for gas $$$. It's 5 feet across so it doesn't fit lying down in either of my trucks. I don't like to transport it over 40 mph but I will if I have to. The only way I would ship this item is in a box truck...a freight-forwarding company perhaps. The unusual design and grand size of this sign will make it the cornerstone of your collection! Email me with your questions and good luck!
