"Raven" Original textured oil painting by Michael Creese gallery wrap canvas | staple free edges 11 x 14 inches | 3/4" profile This original textured oil painting is offered direct from the artist's studio. It is signed and dated with my name, and like all of my work listed here on eBay, this is an original painting, not a print or reproduction. The painting is sold unframed, and is painted on archival canvas stretched over standard, 3/4" thick solid wood stretcher bars. The canvas is stapled to the back of the stretcher bars, so the painting hangs beautiful without a frame. Painting comes ready to hang, with braided picture wire attached to the back of the canvas. The Artist My name is Michael Creese. I was born in Chicago, Illinois, and studied art at Carnegie Mellon University, where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I paint in oil on canvas and in watercolor. My oil paintings are created using an impasto technique, where paint is laid thickly on the canvas, imparting vibrant color and a lustrous, often highly-textured surface.
