Illustrations by Gustave Dore like none other, each a masterpiece. Hardcover binding. Illustrated front cover with black line and gold metallic highlights. Title on spine. Small vignette back cover. Gilt page edges all 3 sides. Plain dark brown end pages. Comment on the Poem by Edmund C. Stedman. List of Illustrations, 27 total including Title Page illustration. Full size, 1-color illustrations with incredible detail to ponder on a midnight dreary. Very heavy, large volume has worn down spine over time, spine loose from stitched pages. Exterior spine with clear tape repairs, front end page with clear tape repairs, several loose pages front of book. Pages have yellowed around edges. None missing. Display open book on coffee table or credenza. Will keep visitors occupied for hours. Must love this old book for its faded grandeur . . . for the magnificent Raven.
