Model: Player Preferred Series --------------------- The smallest catcher's mitt Rawlings made at the time we bought it, was 31.5 inch, which is about equal to a size 10.5 inch fielders glove. This is a lightly used mitt that was broken in correctly at 70mph and then only used once or twice a year by my 11 year old son. We did not write our name and number anywhere on this mitt. It has no rips or tears and the laces are perfect. The nylon stitching is perfect and has never had petroleum jelly applied, so the stitching has not been slowly dissolving away over the last three years. The open back design makes it easy to adjust it to your young Catcher's hand and then quickly retie it to your adult size hand, so your Player can workout at both catcher and catcher.. History: IMHO This was the best quality glove for the money at the time we shopped around.. Unfortunately for me, when the mitt was brand new; it was a little too tough for my young All Star to manipulate {when he was 9 and 10} so I had to purchase lighter duty mitts. I have worked to soften it since then.
