This is an extremely rare and quite interesting and historically significant, original 1920s to 1930s era folding brochure for the beautiful and architecturally amazing Raymond Hotel, located in Pasadena, California, near Los Angeles, and on the summit of Raymond Hill at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains in the San Gabriel Valley...it's advertised in as "California's famous winter resort hotel"....with rooms on the American plan at a rate from $8.00 a day, & LeRoy Linnard listed as the Manager...the images in sepiatone include views of the exterior, the grand dining room, the roadway leading up to the Hotel, and several vignettes in the Art Deco style depict guests enjoying and observing the sports and other recreational activities at the famed hotel and the region, such as Polo, Swimming, Fishing, Golf, Tennis, Badminton, Sailing, Horseback Riding, etc...with mention of the availability of Bridge, Dancing, Bowling, and so on........the booklet measures approx. 4 1/2" by 5 1/2" overall (it opens out to an overall size of approx. 5 1/2" by 9"), and is in generally very good condition, with entirely legible text throughout and good detail to the photo illustrations and sketches, showing some minor edgewear and rubbing along the covers' borders, light soiling to extremities, a couple of small bumps to the covers' corners, and some read more
