Any of you familiar with Master Reitz's work will understand the unique opportunity offered today, and how very difficult it is for me to offer this specially made, one of a kind gorgeous piece of art. Created by hand in the Roycroft Style, Rich's work far surpasses any copper work I have ever seen by the older masters, Gus, Dirk or Roycroft.Business continues, but personal possessions no longer are an option, and with mounting physical care costs, we are forced to offer at auction some of our most prized possessions.Proudly displayed in my home since "birth" to the extraordinary compliments of all who have entered, this lovely charger was nicknamed "The Monster" during her creation by Rich himself and remains in MINT condition.. This is a one of a kind piece commissioned by myself in 2004. Taking a year of painstaking work in hand hammering and chasing by Rich, the outcome was nothing less than breathtaking. Rich assured me during creation, this charger will evermore be unique, vowing never to make another. Created from specially chosen old heavy stock copper, she is heavy, large, measuring almost 17" in diameter and bears his well known gorgeous patina. Applied verdigris defines the oaks. I will not give her away. I reserve the right to close the auction early. This will be offered only this once, and if unsold, will be retained as an investment piece for the family.
