STARTPOINT Full size RC plans ZEPHYR 1100 SLOPE THERMAL HUNTER GLIDER This project is ideal for one who wishes to enjoy the RC hobby and not wanting to spend a small fortune, all patterns are shown, construction is mostly balsa, it is a planked fuselage and uses athree channel radio with standard equipment. Model Characteristics Span 99.9" Length 54" Radio 3 Channel Rudder Elevator & Spoilers DETAILS; The wing is built in four sections This is a Poly-Dihedral glider One piece wing reinforced with FG cloth The fuse is built up balsa planked Detail on the plans is excellent The plans are crisp clear and accurate Construction cost is minimal A Note About SPOILERS; This Aircraft doesn't use ailerons, instead it's equiped with spoilers, these are slats build on top of the wing (the plans show how is done) Spoilers are optional and this glider can be built without them spoilers. are primarily used to "spoil" the lift over the wing to help control the decent of the airplane, especially on landing approach. They are effective on model gliders and sailplanes for getting OUT of lift, not for getting into it, and for help in making a consistent approach for the spot landing in competition.
