RCA 7T Historic Deco Tombstone Radio and RCA History "The stock for investors"? With the end of the 1 st World War, Europe was in ruin; therefore the United States emerged as the number 1 industrial economy. It was the age of modern inventions and the birth of new consumer markets that brought the United States into the limelight as the largest and most successful industrialized nation; this was the “land of opportunity”. We all know about America’s great inventors such as: Thomas Edison and Alexander Gram Bell, but it was radio with its communication advancements and numerous inventors that made daily headlines with ongoing, unresolved multimillion dollar patent law suits that made it such a lucrative target for stock brokers to exploit. Therefore, it was RCA being the most powerful and heavily back company by: Westinghouse; Western Electric, & General Electric (who owned RCA), and the design patents that made this stock into high growth company. It is also the reason why wealthy Wall Street business men manipulated this stock in “pools”. These Wall Street Pools would consist of: accumulated large blocks of stock whose purpose was to sell shares to late comer investors at inflated prices. This intern would cause more speculative demand and/or interest to the unsuspecting small public investors causing the stock to rise even higher.
