For sale is a rare JAN 800 vacuum tube manufactured by RCA for the U.S. government during World War II. These triode transmitting tubes are very collectible because of their unique "rabbit ears" appearance with top caps for both the plate and grid connections. They are becoming quite rare, with only a few offered on eBay each year. The first photo shows the tube in dim light with the filament powered at 6.3 volts. This not only demonstrates that the filament is functional, but verifies that the vacuum in the tube is still good and that the tube has not "gone to air." The tube has an excellent appearance, and the base and both top caps are tight. This tube will be packed carefully with plenty of bubble wrap to ensure its safe arrival. I only ship to address in the United States. NO EXCEPTIONS . If you do not live in the United States, you must provide me with a U.S. address if you are the successful bidder. If you do not have a U.S. address, please do not bid. All sales are final.
