This radio is very big and heavy weighing 25 pounds. It displays beaitufully with a metal emblem on the front that reads "RCA RADIOLA 20 REG. U.S. PATENT OFF. SEE LICENCE NOTICE INSIDE RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA " . On the left front is another metal area and in that is a vertical dial and under that on the metal it has in raised lettering "STATION SELECTOR" and t is another fancy metal area on the right front that is also a vertical dial and under that is the metal is raised lettering it reads "AMPLIFICATION". Under that t are four knob dials close to the bottom but on the front (please see all photos below). This whole radio cabinet is wood and could be oak because it is so heavy but might also be mahogeny but not sure. The lid opens up and a hinge 'catches' to hold it open until you lift the hinge releasing the lid back down. Inside the top of the lid t is a big metal label that has lots of information including all patents on this ending with June 30, 1925 as the last patent date. Also that metal label notes "RCA RADIOLA 20 REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. MODEL AR-918 RANGE KILOCYCLES (THAN LOTS OF OTHER WRITING ANND UNDER THAT) RADIOLA CORPORATION OF AMERICA" and also "BATTERY SETTINGS" are noted.
