Just finished restoring another classic machine. RCA invented the 45 rpm record in 1947 and this was their very first 45rpm record changer. The 9-JY was added to the RCA phonograph line-up in 1949. This first changer was 100% metal with no plastic and enclosed in a bakelite case. All following models of RCA 45 rpm phonographs were 50% plastic or more. This model was made like a small quality machine. It takes up very little space (63 sq in.) Not a big ugly monster like other 50s phonographs. With a little maintenance every 60 years it will go forever. This changer has been totally disassembled , cleaned and reassembled. All worn parts were replaced with new. It has been tested for 10 hrs and works better than the day it was bought. This is only a changer or turntable and must be plugged into anything that has AUDIO IN. You will amaze your grandchildren when they see it cycle to the next record in one second. Tell them sound playback was once a totally mechanical process....Rob Wilson (retired tech.) 100% guaranteed........If you are not satisfied just return it. Item is like new, extremely satisfied, fast shipping and packaged safely, *****I LOVE YOUR RECORD PLAYER! WORKS GOOD! I GIVE YOU A 5 STAR RATING!Perfectly restored RCA! Arrived early.
