You are bidding on an RCA 9K Magic Brain console radio with tuning eye. This is a 1936 model which was the basis for the subsequent 9K1, 9K2, etc. The unit is in very good condition with new gloss polyurethane finish (after complete stripping, sanding and final rubbing with 0000 steel wool). You will have to look closely to find any surface imperfections. The chassis was recapped, defective tubes replaced and all other tubes tested, new power cord and new scallop grille cloth (see photo). This is an unusual radio with a band selector for BC/SW1/SW2 and LW) which rotates the dial to the appropriate band. This band selector mechainism works very smoothly. The reception is very good on BC and SW, but I do not have sufficient antenna to find any LW stations. Sold as-is.
