Up for bid is a very nice RCA from 1940.The marbled cabinet is stunning.The cabinet was properly cleaned and polished back to it's original deep high lustre. It is chip and crack free.The strong Deco styling is very evident in this set.The knobs are pristine with no wear and look new.The chassis is very clean with no corrosion(see pics). The chassis was rebuilt with ALL new capacitors and all controls were lubed for smooth operation.The line cord is new also.It was aligned and plays strongly across the band with it's built-in loop antenna.It has great tone and plays loud and clear with no distortion.It also has Short Wave. The dial and pointer are perfect.It's original cardboard back is intact, a little worn,but intact.A very solid radio.Look at all of the pics of this sharp set.A fine addition to any serious collection or a shelf set for an office.RCA made some of the best sets and this is no exception.
