This RCA Victor Model VV 7-11 is beautifully restored and in working condition. It is a combination radio/phonograph that originally sold for $250. All of the 12,000 of these sets were manufactured in 1928. The acoustic Victrola Orthophonic phonograph has a wind-up motor which is controlled by an adjustable governor and an automatic stop. The radio portion of the set is a Radiola Model 18 with 7 tubes. It has good sensitivity, but the old horse-shoe magnet speaker has some distortion at high volume. This set has a beautiful dark mahogany cabinet with doors in the upper center that enclose the record player and two convenient open compartments on the sides for record storage. The cabinet finish has been touched up and the grille cloth replaced. As may be expected, the cabinet has acquired some scratches during its long life. Please note that this is an old set and is sold "as is". This set measures 30" wide, 54" high and 17" deep. The Radiola chassis is designed to simply slide out of the large cabinet to make transportation more convenient. This is a large and heavy set which would be best picked up in southeastern Pennsylvania, Zip code 19002. If preferred, this set could be delivered to the Kutztown, PA Radio Meet on September 21 and 22.
