Up for auction is this RCA Victrola model VV-IX-A. I purchasedthis from an antiques store in Matthews NC; the Victrola is in very fair condition for its age there are a few blemishes the green felt on the turntable needs to be replaced and when a record is finished playing the automatic stop does not work lastly on the outside cabinet on the back left side a small piece of the trim is off. The only thing I have done to it was replace the reproducer; I purchased a rebuilt reproducer from EBay for $125.00 and it now sounds much better than it did when I purchased it. The finish is a Red Mahogany finish as mentioned above there are a few blemishes. I have a lot of both soft and medium needles. I also have a lot of records some of the artists are, Gene Autry, Dinah Shore, Frank Sinatra, Tommy Dorsey, Al Goodman, McCravy Brothers & Buddy Clark just to name a few and some of these are Christmas song too. The small yellow & black records in the picture below are children songs some of them are also Christmas and Walt Disney songs these actually belonged to my Dad and the 2 brown record albums where my Grandmothers, they have the RCA dog logo on them. I still have the original reproducer which will go with the Victrola as well as all of the records. I’m not sure of the exact date according to one web site it's from 1917-1918 and this was based off the SN# Please feel free to ask me any questions Thank you. I have checked a couple of Victrola repaid shop web sites and they suggest building a crate which i would be willing to do or I would be willing to meet at a location within reason either option will be an added cost to the winning bidder. I just want to make sure that the item arrives to you the way it left me. The approximate weight of the Victrola is 50lbs. For those who do not know much about Victrola's shipping it is in my opinion not a good idea this item is roughly 94 years old and made of wood
