Up for auction is a fine match safe bearing photos of the Liberty Fire Co. #5 of Reading PA. Founded in 1854, and housed in this firehouse since 1876, the company still operates out of these quarters at 5th and Laurel Sts. as RFD Engine Co #5. The front of the safe shows the firehouse in a crystal clear photo. The rear of the safe shows company members on two pieces of horse drawn apparatus but is somewhat faded and yellowed..(The detail photo on this page of the rear looks out of focus but is not so on the safe itself). Overall the safe is in terrific condition. No major dings or scratches, lid opens freely. Please check out other historical firefighting items in my listings...email with any questions..I had a similar item up a few days ago and was bid upon by screenname BADGE 83...If you are BADGE 83 please contact me about the last item at !!!!! No problem, just wanted to ask a question...Thank you!!!
