Nice Full Size Working Buoy from the Coast of Maine. You can almost smell the sea air just lookin' at it! BIG BUOY! 7x15 7 inch diameter and 15 inches tall plus the spindle and the rope...19 inches overall!! Normal inshore buoys are 5 by 11 inches! If you look close, you can see the license numbah 1602 branded into the front of the buoy! It is shown settin' on an old wooden lobstah trap. The trap does NOT come with it. Anothah way of saying that is "THE TRAP IS NOT INCLUDED!" This heah is a BIG real Maine Lobster Trap Buoy: Red over White with a stick (what we call a spindle), and some rope. I have the OTHERS listed in other auctions Check out my other items < If you win more than one auction, I will combine shipping! This one is what we call an "offshore buoy" some call " commercial ". They have to be bigger for the fellahs that fish "outside" (past the 3 mile limit), so they can see them in the big seas. Bouys, floats, pots, or whatevah you call em. These ahh the real thing used by Lobstermen (and women) all up and down the Coast o' Maine. You ahn't gonna get a good old Maine Lobstah trap float or buoy from somewheah like Iower ohh New Yawk; this heah is the real McCoy, and we can ship em some cheap!
