4-3/4" Carbon Steel blade - CUSTOM KNIFE with Leather Sheath You are bidding on one handcrafted knife with leather sheath . The Blade: The blade is made of carbon steel, it's stamped: MANANTIAL Tandil Argentina . Tandil is an argentinian town well-known by the quality of its blades. Most of the blade's factories are located in Tandil . The carbon steel will hold a better edge and last longer than much higher priced Stainless Steels knives. The Handle : Handle is one piece of real cow or bull horn and brass /bronze butt with wood & brass ring spacers. The Sheath : Genuine cowhide leather skin . Made from authentic argentinian cow leather . The sheath has a flap which is designed to slip over/under a belt or pants to secure the knife but t is no belt loop. Sheath is painted, on the back has the number 12 (cm). -Sheath pictured may not be the same that you receive, but are similars- Store your knife with the sheath, NOT IN IT ! The chemicals used in tanning of leather sometimes react with moisture in the air, leading to corroding of even stainless steels! Condensation even within military grade kydex sheaths can invite corrosion. If you can't keep the knife in the open, dry air, store with photographic quality desiccant in a plastic bag apart from sheath.
