German Blackhead Aluminum Powder, Flake Eckart 5413 H Super 3 Pounds This is not " as good as " or similar to Eckart 5413, this is the real deal. This is 3 pounds of 100% genuine, Eckart 5413 H Super Blackhead imported from Germany. Yes, that is the correct spelling of Eckart. ( grin) Let's clear up some of the nonsense, and misinformation that other sellers are saying. You'll see a lot of sellers claim this is 3 micron or less but I'm afraid they pulled this information out of.......well, I'll let you decide where they came up with this. The truth is, Eckart has never specified the mesh size of their 5413 other than to say that 95% is less than 45 micron. Here's a link to their data sheet to verify for yourself. LINK 5413 is coated to prevent oxidation. All aluminum oxidizes when it comes in contact with air. Larger sizes of aluminum will develop a protective coating of aluminum oxide and this prevents further oxidation. 5413 is so fine that there simply isn't enough material to develop this protective coating. If left uncoated, it will turn into aluminum oxide. 5413 is "dark" because it picks up carbon in the manufacturing process. I assure you there is no "Factory Authorized" seller on Ebay ordering "directly" from the factory. 100% of the 5413 sold in the US is shipped directly to Eckart America in Louisville. They in turn send it to authorized distribution centers across the US who sell it to end users. Period. If another seller is unaware of the properties of this product, or spreading absolute nonsense, how can they (or you) be sure it really is genuine? Anyone can adjust the contrast of a photo or add charcoal to make their inferior aluminum look like German flake. I personally broke the seals on these drums and guarantee this to be 100% authentic Eckart 5413. Q: What's the difference between Eckart 5413 Blackhead and Indian Blackhead? A: Eckart is the ONLY company that makes 5413 H Super and each batch is tightly controlled to the same exacting standards. Indian Blackhead is not a brand. It's a generic name for a type of aluminum and can be made by any company with different quality control standards and mesh sizes. If you've bought the generic or imitation Blackhead on Ebay, you're going to be pleasantly surprised with this. It's so fine, it acts more like a liquid than a solid. I've purchased the phony German Flake and thought it was pretty good....until I got the real thing. Shipping note; Your 5413 Super bought here will be legally shipped UPS surface transport with proper labeling. This ensures that neither one of us will have any reason to talk to an inquisitive federal official. This product is shipped in strict accordance with UPS & USPS regulations. These regulations absolutely prohibit transport by air. Federal regulations require the package be marked "ORM-D Ground Only ". If another seller's Priority Mail package breaks open and the Postal Inspectors discover what's inside, you'll never see your aluminum . Do you want your name on that package? This substance is hazardous and will be shipped in compliance with the CFR-49 , UPS, and USPS Pub 52 regulations . I package and ship these legally in 3 lb plastic tubs with with snap lock lids and an inner liner. The tubs are then taped closed to avoid any spillage. I don't try to cut corners by dumping 5 lbs in a plastic bag and hoping the carrier doesn't notice it leaking.
