REAL IVORY Figurine Katabori Netsuke Asian Child Drum

This authentic ivory Katabori netsuke is just under two inches tall and weighs 0.8 ounces. It features an adorable child holding either a rolled up paper or perhaps something to beat the drum that is at his feet. It's very intricately carved and looks fantastic. The crosshatching (or Schreger lines) is most evident on the bottom of this piece (pictured). It's not easy for me to capture crosshatching with my camera sometimes but it should be apparent in the last picture. This is a really nice whimsical piece of authentic, pre-ban ivory that will look great wver it is displayed. Please see my other auctions as I have a number of other ivory pieces up at this time.
