This fantastic early issue features mini-biographies of Leonardo DaVinci, The Black Phantoms (World War II British commando unit), Benito Juarez, Draja Mihailovitch - The Yugoslav MacArthur, Miguel de Cervantes, Brigadier General Claire L. Chennault, Igor Sikorsky and more! You'll also learn more about the history of Malta and West Point. In terms of condition, this copy is a FINE-Minus or, at worst, a VG-Plus. The book is flat, clean and both staples are firmly attached to the centerfold and cover. The cover retains its wonderful colors and about 30-40% of its reflectivity. T's a very slight spine roll - maybe ¼" to ½". The inside cover and pages have tanning around the edges but this is still an amazingly supple copy. My guess is that this book had been read once or twice and then placed into storage for man years. The bottom line is that it's tough to find an early issue of this series in such nice condition. Make your bid to add this early golden age book to your collection today!
