SMALL REAL RUBY BEAD This small ruby bead has been blessed and empowered at the Boudhanath Buddhist Temple in Kathmandu Nepal (pictures below) This small ruby bead was sourced at the 4th KHAMPA FESTIVAL in KANGDING in 2004. Diameter of bead: 15.81 mm. Thickness of bead 10.13 mm Weight: 29 ct Please Note: This is a real RUBY bead. We made a donation for this bead in 2004 at the Khampa festival in Kandging. Please look at the pictures. This is a small real ruby bead. These beads are very popular in Tibet and areas close by. Beads such as these are traded to be a "Part of the religious and cultural lives of the inhabitants of Ladakh, Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan." This is a real ruby bead (20 to 40 years old) it has been heat treated. Tibetan's string a few of these ruby beads with other prized beads and sometimes use one ruby bead on a sacred Mala.
