Fantastic and unusual combination, ultimate provenance. Specific locality is the White Caps Mine, Manhattan District, Nye Co., Nevada. The late J. W. Grandy acquired the specimen from the late Neal Yedlin and mounted it on Feb. 28, 1985. Most likely Mr. Grandy remounted it. Display face measures 1.4 cm. x 1.3 cm. PLEASE READ IF NOT FAMILIAR WITH MICROMOUNTS!! This specimen and all micromounts, by definition require significant magnification to be appreciated and sometimes are too small to be seen with the naked eye. The pertinent species, certainly when on matrix, often comprises but a small portion of the overall specimen. The micromounts offered for sale at this site have been photographed at between 10x and 50x and except where otherwise noted come mounted in plastic boxes. ranging in size from a little less to a little more than one cubic inch. We ship up to 6 micromounts in a 4 inch x 4 inch x 4 inch box. Usually, our micromounts come from old collections. Identifications typically speak for themselves pursuant to labels that are usually original and affixed to the case bearing the specimen when we acquired it.Whenever these identifications are not immediately obvious, we research as much as possible relying on MINDAT and other sources and will not sell specimens we are not convinced have been labeled accurately according read more
