The Realm of the Nebulae by Edwin Hubble Published by Yale University Press, 1936 ***First Edition*** Edwin Hubble was the famous American astronomer for whom the Hubble Telescope was named. This book is based on lectures given by Hubble at Yale University in 1935. Hubble was the first to show that the Universe is expanding and the first to discover that there are other galaxies besides the Milky Way. The true first edition of this important book. Condition: Very Good, a clean firm copy, no names or marks. There is some light toning/foxing to the text block edges, some minor corner bumps, and just a bit of light shelf rub to covers.
