I have enjoyed taking this kit and transforming him through my tried and true techniques of reborning, turning him into a very lifelike baby. His transformation is amazing, holding Alex will bring you back to the days of our own little infants, and the peace it gave us rocking our own little ones, if he tugs at your heart do not let him get away, there will not be another like him. My ProcessAlex has been transformed from a vinyl kit to a replica of a beautiful new baby. Through my rebirthing techniques, to a perfect replica of a beautiful infant. I have been doing this now for 6yrs and I just love it. So many hours of energy and great attention to details go into each one of my babies and I think it shows in the pictures and most importantly when you hold this sweet little angel. I use Genesis heat set paints, they will never fade, peel, or chip. I do many translucent layers of paint, building all the different shades of skin to give a truly 3 dimensional look. I have opened his nose very carefully to give him an even more realistic look and it adds depth to his face.Alex has very subtle veining and mottling. His lips have been delicately blushed and sealed giving him perfect baby lips. The same attention has been given to his tiny fingers and toes, and sealed and have that fresh clipped look.. Weighting and BodyAlex has a very soft jointed doe suede body. Alex is so cuddly and a dream to hold, he can be posed in any position you choose, he has 3/4 arms and 3/4 legs they are a very soft vinyl and he is so sweet smelling and huggable. Alex wears newborn size clothes. What fun he is to shop for.Alex has been weighted to feel like a newborn, I use a combination of finely ground glass pouches and silicone baby fat.I also use very soft fiberfill to give him that oh so huggable baby feel. His head is weighted and will need to be supported as you would any new baby. Then when you pick him up you will also get the faint baby smell,he is just so precious. EyesAlex has beautiful blue eyes from eyeco,they have such depth to them.I have framed them with light brown lashes and hand painted eyebrows,they truly are baby blues. HairAlex has very soft ultra micro-rooted brown hair, I have rooted it in a directional pattern using a very tiny needle, it takes many hours, but I feel it is worth it, since realistic hair is one of the things that makes them so real,I then used the same hair to root his little lashes. Alex's hair is sealed on the inside with a waterproof sealant. You may spritz his hair and gently comb it any way you wish. Ten little fingers and toesHis finger and toenails have been carefully done so they have that just clipped look and the delicate color was sealed with a matte varnish to protect them. Extra time was spent in coloring his sweet little hands and feet, they are so adorable.
