Mamarita's "Little Darlins" Nursery Is Proud To Introduce Mariah Reborn October 8th, 2009 Weight 4 pounds 3 Length 21 inches Hair Dark Brown Eyes Sky Blue Hi, my name is Rita Meese and I am the artist at "Little Darlins" Nursery. I have been making dolls for many years, and I take time with each baby to "bring it to life". Every one of my "Little Darlins" is a true one of a kind. This adorable little girl started out as the "Honey" sculpt by Donna Rubert, a very well known artist . I have been wanting to do this sculpt for awhile, and it was exciting to watch her come to life.. No preparation was needed, so I just checked her over well. She was then given a nice warm bubblebath to remove any residue, and the fun began. Many hours were spent getting this little girls complexion just right She has subtle veining, and blushing in all the right places. This was done with Genesis heat set paints, which are baked right into the vinyl and will never peel or chip. Mariah was given a baby manicure and pedicure. Her nails, as well as her mouth, have been glossed and sealed. Her mouth has a slightly moist look. I gently opened Mariahs' nose so she can "breathe". It has been backed with felt to give depth. I painted on barely t eyebrows., and gave her eyelashes to match her dark hair. She has such soft baby hair!! It is very fine and wispy. It has been micro-rooted several strands at a time with a very high quality mohair. It has been sealed inside with waterproof glue, so her hair can be gently wet and styled . I strongly reccomend a baby comb and brush. This is a very time consuming process, but well worth it for the results. Her hair feels so real, and appears to be growing right out of her scalp. Mariah has 3/4 arms and full legs. She has a custom made, fully jointed doe suede body. She has been weighted and stuffed with polyfill and feels so cuddly you won't want to put her down. T is no sand in any of my dolls. Mariah's will come home with both outfits she is wearing for her "photo shoot". The first is a beautiful dress that has a burgundy bodice and a lovely ecru skirt with burgundy and pink flowers with green leaves. The "belt is green with a pink rose on the waist. She has a matching headband, and a designer pacifier that is magnetic. Her shoes are black velvet Mary Janes, and she is wearing pink socks. She also has a matching handmade bonnet and blanket that coordinate very well with the dress. The 2nd outfit is a cute 2 piece top with red and blue trim, and cute little jeans. She will be wrapped in her blanket for the trip to her new home. She is wearing a pearl name bracelet , and a diaper. She will also bring her birth certificate. Stud earrings can be added at no extra charge. I have taken great pleasure in reborning this sweet little girl. I hope to find her a good home.
