Up for your consideration in this Reserve Auction is collection of Red Adair belt buckles. Buckle descriptions: 1) Upper left hand corner - A rather large (3 5/8" x 2 5/8") and weighty buckle that appears to be fashioned from chrome-plated brass. The fields are filled with opaque white and red enamel. On the reverse are two inverted chevrons (makers mark). Buckle looks to be in new condition. 2) Upper left hand corner - A polished brass buckle measuring 3 1/8" x 2 1/4". On the reverse appears "Ran Specialties Houston Texas". Buckle has a small amount of wear. 3) Lower left hand corner - The buckle face is of polished brass construction with a translucent red enamel background. The buckle measures 3 1 /4" x 2 1/4". On the reverse are two "J's" with one inverted. Red translucent field has several hairline scratches. 4) Lower right hand corner - A large and hefty buckle measuring 3 1/2" x 2 1/4". It is of brass construction with a highly reflective gold-color applique (difficult to capture a good photo of this buckle due to its shininess). On the front are the words "Red Adair Team 1959 - 1984" across the top and on the bottom "Oil Well Fires - Blowouts". Also on the front are embossed images of a well fire-fighter, a globe of the world with the State Flag of Texas stuck in it, a BOP stack, an on-shore rig with flames emanating from it, an off-shore platform, and what appear to be several pieces of fire fighting equipment. On the reverse are stamped the words " Red Adair CO's 25th Anniversary " and "Limited Edition #000278". These numbered buckles were apparently distributed as part of the company's quarter century celebration. Buckle has minimal wear marks around front side edges. These items come from my Father's estate. I do not know if he had an association with Mr. Adair or how he came to possess them, but my Father was employed in the oil industry for over 40 years as a 'company man'. He obviously had an admiration for Mr. Adair from the number of things I found when sorting through his possessions. I am in the process of auctioning most of this Red Adair material that my Father collected. There are other buckles, along with lapel pins, autographed pictures, autographed ball cap, autographed copy of Red's biography - " An American Hero ", stickers and patches, along with several decorative oil field drill bits. If you are looking to start or add to your Red Adair memorabilia collection, this is a good opportunity. So please, have a glance of the other items I am offering. Returns are accepted as long as they are received in the same condition as when shipped. Thanks for having a look and
