A very large bakelite bangle. A pair of very heavily carved berries adorn either side of the closure of this bracelet, Crisp luscious detail carved from an almost maroon cherry red bakelite. Fabulous details that really show off well. The bangle color is a transparent, slightly reddish amber. The bangle walls have a slot carved through them. 1 & 3/8 inches wide & nicely domed, with chunky 3/8 inch walls. The opening is 2 & 1/2 inches across, the hinge is tight and snappy. In very good condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs - slightest indications of previous wear. Tested positive yellow swab with the 409 & "simichrome" polish and the hot water method.
