Feedsacks Back to Top Feedsacks are a depression (1930's) era measure for ladies to have inexpensive material to use for sewing. Each milling area would have their own prints. Mostly used for chicken feed and rabbit pellets, as people raised their own food. Feedsacks vary some in size but are generally 1 1/4yds of material. A lady in Florida has collected swatches for print and has over 15,000 different ones. Feedsacks were made into the 1950's of 100% cotton and are a bit coarser(I Do Not sell the really coarse kind) than dress weight cotton, after that time they are usually a blend.
