Up for your bidding consideration is one handturned, handcrafted cigar style pen. This pen is hefty. Twist mechanism. Platinum plated appointments. Medium black ink (refillable) Parker® style. Will accept the Parker gel refills which make for a great write. I turned this pen in my home workshop from a beautifully and interesting blank of Double Dyed Red and Black Box Elder Wood. Absolutely fantastic! This particular wood has been stabilized and dyed. Stabilization allows the grain to appear more prominent and make for a smooth and durable finish. Awesome! Photos never show the best color, but I tried to provide you with the best photo I could manage. The great thing about wooden pens is how their character changes with proper use. After turning the pen shape, I finish it with several grades of paper and two types of finishing products that make the pen smooth and lustrous. The constant contact with your fingers (natural body oils) and with friction from your soft clothing will cause the pen to smoothen even more and possibly darken over time. Light may also affect the color of wood pen over time as well. I take much pride in turning each pen. Enjoy your pen! Wood pens will not survive extreme heat (such as a hot dash of car) nor water.
