I have had several people ask about selling banks and I am going to see how this goes this New Year. I am going to start with my existing customers ONLY. I am still working on some of the logistics but I have a good system set up to start. Shoot me an email if you would like to sell your pristine condition banks for top dollar through Bankskull Auctions!!!
Hello all!! 2008 is going to be an incredible year for auctions!! It was a fantastic fall of cast iron collecting this year! If you are not on my email list yet, I suggest you get on it, you donÂ't want to miss out!! (Details below) T ARE 21 MORE ITEMS UP FOR SALE IN THIS AUCTION. I have banks ranging in age from 1880Â's to the 1950's. I generally collect but I have been having fun with these auctions so IÂ'm picking up Â"extrasÂ" when I find them now & offering them to all you collectors out t on Ebay. I hit all the garage & estate sales, flea markets, antique shows & some Ebay treasures!!!! I have banks manufactured by all the major manufacturers. I also have branched out into some of my other cast iron interests, mainly doorstops & paperweights but I have some unexpected surprises as well. Always no reserve and starting at $.99 because I feel the quality the items will speak for themselves and get a fair price. I regularly have auctions, generally twice a month. My next auction will start Thursday April 13th and end on Sunday April 13th. If you would like, send me your email & I will add you to the list & notify you when I have an auction. I ONLY us this info to send you info on my Ebay auctions, absolutely nothing else. Check out my other AC Williams items up for auction now! You are bidding on an AC Williams cast iron Mail Box bank with coin slot in back. These banks were produced c1920Â's. AC Williams, based in Ravenna Ohio , was a giant in the world of still banks from 1899, with the Domed Bank, through until WWII. They never resumed bank manufacturing after the war. The bank is in great shape! The paint is 95% intact, has most of the hand painted gold on the lettering & has a nice patina. You generally see these in silver and sometimes green but rarely in red (the on in Mores is green) The paint inside the bank (they used to just dip the whole halfÂ's of the bank to paint them) is the red color you would expect for early 1900Â's paint. This bank is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, breaks, repairs or damage of any kind. The surface finish is 100% original - it has never been restored, repainted, touched up or altered in any way. The seams are tight, even, the pieces align well, has the original screw & nut. 4 1/2Â" high x 3 1/4Â" wide. In Moore Â's penny book #854 valued $50-$75 for the common green one in the new 2008 edition!!I suggest to the winner to print a copy of this auction, it will increase the resale value of your purchase tremendously having this information as a hard copy along with the bank. You are paying for this information, make use of it! Plus itÂ's fun to look back in 20 years and say I only paid $200 for that way back when. Most of the banks today selling for $200-$400 were $15-$50 in the mid 1970Â's, big money when the reference guides I have were printed. Please ask any and all questions before auction ends. No refunds for buyerÂ's remorse. Items are photographed and described accurately. YOU MUST CONTACT ME WITH IN THREE DAY'S OF AUCTION END OR I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE AUCTION & RE-LIST. I WILL LEAVE NEGATIVE FEED BACK. DON'T BID IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PAY FOR THE AUCTION. I HAVE HAD QUITE A FEW NON-PAYING BIDDERS, PLEASE DON'T BE ONE!!! Payment due in 10 days. International rates are extended. Shipped via USPS priority without insurance unless req...
