RED GRANGE BOBBLEHEAD - WRIGLEY FIELD 100 SERIES Oct. 27, 1923: The University of Illinois, behind three touchdowns by sophomore Red Grange, defeated the Northwestern Wildcats 29-0 at Cubs Park before 32,000 fans. The game, originally scheduled to be hosted by Northwestern University, was moved to Cubs Park after University of Illinois ticket requests exceeded 10,000 (Northwestern's field could only hold approximately 17,000 fans). This game was slated to be Northwestern's home-coming game but was moved to a later date once the location changed. Thank you for looking!
