This auction is for an all original and highly collectable Red Lettering Postwar Lionel 6464 Western Pacific Boxcar in Very Good (+) condition with original box. Manufactured in 1953, this is the Type I body version with red lettering and bar-end trucks. The piece is complete and undamaged; nothing cracked, broken, or missing; faint traces of oxidation on the wheels. The red heat-stamped lettering is faded but still well defined. The silver painted body shows slight signs of paint wear. The box grades Very Good (C6); missing one inside flap; one inside coupler flap is torn away; all other flaps present and attached; box shows obvious signs of handling wear.
