Burgundy cloth covered boards with gilt lettering on spine, dust jacket front illustrated by Red Skelton, illustration of author on back in red. "THE GREAT LAZARUS is a story about a gentle man, so powerful and dynamic he defies death and at will could destroy all religious beliefs. Red Skelton (Richard Bernard Skelton, 1913-1997) was an award winning star of stage, radio, motion pictures and television and one of America's greatest clowns. He was also a composer of music, writer of short stories, comedian, poet, a painter of clowns and a man of great character. His long career in the public eye lasted almost 75 years.
