Rare Red Warwick China Thelma Vase Approximately 9 1/2" Tall Deep Burgandy (almost brown) Neck fading to red in center & back to deep burgandy at the bottom Interesting "Scalloped" Base Decorated with Woman'sPortriat Warwick was famous for their gray, red, & dark brown vases with portraits of women. Supposedly, "Ladies of the Evening" posed for these pieces. There were houses of ill repute close to the Warwick factory. A couple tiny paint flakes ~ No Chips or Cracks Warwick China Company, in Wheeling, West Virginia, was incorporated in 1881 & closed its doors in 1951. They specialized in glazed pieces with portraits of Indians, Monks, and fraternal emblems. Warwick was famous for their gray & dark brown vases with portraits of women. Supposedly, "Ladies of the Evening" posed for these pieces. There were houses of ill repute close to the Warwick factory.
