Staffordshire red transfer milk pitcher, 10 1/2" high and 8" wide at widest point, scene and maker unknown, C.1830-35. This is a beautiful pitcher with a fruit and flower border in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or visible surface wear. Light crazing. These larger pitchers are becoming difficult to find, especially in this fine condition. Near a ruined building, a man walks behind his cows. Overscaled flowers are in foreground.
