Beautiful collection of Red Wing Cookie jars by Charles Murphy, patented in 1943. Discontinued in 1968 when Plant closed. These three very well cared for cookie jars are in EXCELLENT condition. No marks, chips, even the brown usually at the base of these is not present, the brown reflects that the jar was truly used to store warm cookies. This is a set that displays beautifully. No risk as these have been in my family and well taken care of. Pink is the hardest and rarest color to locate, than green, and blue is next in the scale of colors to collect with most value. Each Charles Murphy jar was hand made and hand painted, thus they have their own personality, each unique. My jars were collected in Minnesota, Canada, and New York. They have so much history and I hope the winning bidder appreciates the history with these fine pieces. Each have the Red Wing label stamped under the base. As always some have it stamped into the pottery and also has the famous redwing. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. I will ship each jar seperately for safety, each jar with shipping charge of thirteen dollars. If you wish insurance on the entire set, it would only add approximatey ten dollars but be well worth it. My reserve is modest. I package with extreme care as I hope to hear from the buyer that the arrived in the same perfect condition as shipped. Thank you for looking.
The name of these three jars from the Charles Murphy series are: The Friar, Chef Pierre, and Katrina, the dutch girl.
