This is for a vintage Red Wing Dutch Girl cookie jar. It is marked on it's base, "RED WING USA". It also has the ink stamp under glaze marking, "Red Wing" This is a very old cookie jar, and it's being sold as is. The jar is in poor condition with all over crazing on the jar & lid & some dark staining on the bottom of the jar caused by storing hot cookies in the jar when it was being used as a cookie jar. This is very common on old cookie jars that were used. T is one factory chip on the inside of the rim's opening. It's down just inside the top of the jar's opening rim. The tiny shard of pottery that chipped off of this spot ended up just a little bit down into the jar along the side of the inside of the jar. It's stuck to the side of the jar. Obviously, this happened during the jar's production and the shard was baked onto the side of the jar when the jar was heated in the kiln. It's difficult to photograph, because of it's location. You can kind of see the pottery shard in one of the pictures showing the inside of the jar. The girl's hat was damaged on one of the points sticking out at the side. It was either broken off completely & reattached or someone just fashioned a new point from pottery. I don't know.
