This is an original hand drawn comic art pen & ink -this is NOT a Xerox copy or reprint in any form, but the ORIGINAL pen & ink drawing on textured art board drawn by & signed "Turner" for George Turner, who used to be staff artist for the Amarillo Globe-News - the CITY OF AMARILLO, TEXAS is written on his shirt. We have a superhero dressed kinda like Superman holding poor ol' REDDY KILOWATT up in the air by his throat!! Notice Reddy's cowboy hat on the ground at his feet & the chaps he is wearing, a real Texan in trouble. Reddy is holding a sheet of paper saying - 1.9% RATE HIKE - While the superhero city of Amarillo is holding up a barbell saying - SEWER CHARGE HIKE 15-20% & WATER RATE HIKE 15%. I think I have seen a few of these while the value of the $ does not seem to have gone up at all!!! The quality of the art is very good as you see reality mixed with a lot of fun - this is a great example of a statement on city government and the utility company's. At the bottom outside the art is lettered in red pen FLUOR & 29.6 PICAS & Sun News Globe, which is probably where it was published. The art's size is, 7 1/2" wide X 8 1/4" tall (approx), on art paper that is fairly thick. This is in great COLLECTOR condition, -- It has a few tack holes outside the art and a couple of light spots -- it is exactly as shown --- it will display
