This beautiful enameled steel plaque was awarded to the employees of
Texas Electric Service Co.for no lost-time injuries in 1961.
The back side is also enameled, a solid dark blue.
This plaque is rigid and heavy which is probably why, after 47 years, it is free of any dents or creases. T is one small spot of rust touching on the lower right grommet, less than 1/4 inch, on the reverse side.The front side and all the edges are completely free of rust. T is a tiny chip out of the enamel at the edge by the top left grommet - see photo -
It's about 1/16 of an inch.Otherwise the enamel is in nearly perfect condition -no chips,no nicks or cuts,no cracking or hazing.The front is free of scratches.T are a few tiny stray marks which look like pen or pencil marks,like on the D in the word award and
near the R in the word electric in the circle.These look like they can be removed but I never tried.The back side has a few short scratches,the longest under 1 inch, but none go all the way through the enamel.
