A fine quality 66 piece set of 18th Century Reed & Baron sterling flatware. It comes in a Reed & Barton wooden chest & consists of twelve 5 piece place settings plus 6 serving pieces. The chest has some typical light nicks & scratches from use, but still faces up nicely. Marked on inside "Reed & Barton Tarnish Preventive Cloth". Each piece is well marked on back "Reed & Barton, Sterling" with the exception of the knives. They, the butter knife & the pie server are marked on blade "Reed & Barton, Mirrorstele, Sterling Handle". This beautiful set has been used & t are use scratches & some tiny nicks. We have left completely as found & it still faces up quite nicely & has not been abused. The serving pieces consist of a meat fork, two serving spoons (one slotted), cake or pie server, shell sugar spoon & butter knife or spreader. The meat fork has some roughness at the end of the tines, but it could definitely be taken care of & doesn't appear to be that bad. A beautiful & complete 5 piece setting for 12 & superb addition to any household !!!!
