This auction is for a beautiful and collectible Reed & Barton 60 piece Sterling Silverware set in the pattern or design of Francis I. (This set was originally listed as 58 pcs--I found 2 more teaspoons at the bottom of the silver bag !!) The origins of Reed and Barton can be traced back to the early 1820's. In 1907, after working on the design for three years, Reed & Barton released their most popular pattern, Francis I. Reed & Barton has a well deserved reputation for elaborate intricate designs and superb craftsmanship. This is sure to be a wonderful addition to any collection! All the silver has been used. T is no damage but some minor scratches. All pieces will need to be cleaned. T are mixtures of 3 different marks on the pieces and each is described below. The set includes: 12 - 9 1/2" Dinner Knives . -8 are marked "R&B Mirrorstele"on the blade(the left 8 dinner knives in the photo). 4 are marked "R&B Mirrorstele, Sterling Handle"(the 4 right dinner knives in the photo).Both marks are shown in additional photos. 11 - 7 3/4" Dinner Forks -5 are in the old mark showing "Eagle, R, Lion, Sterling"(5 left dinner forks in photo). 4 show "Eagle, R, Lion, patent date, and H"(4 forks in the middle)The last 3 have the newer mark "Sterling, Reed & Barton"(on the right in the photo). 12 - 6 1/8" Salad Forks - All salad forks have read more
