We are selling this huge serving spoon at no reserve past the opening bid. We are offering a large Reed & Barton serving spoon fresh from a New England estate. The piece is 9 3/4" long x 3" at the widest part of the bowl. The bowl is slightly ribbed. The design on the handle is still very crisp and sharp. it is marked on the back with the Reed & Barton logo, STERLING, and PAT APPL'D FOR, indicating that this is an early piece from right around 1901. The piece weighs approximately 7 1/8 ounces or 203 grams.The spoon is in very good condition. T are no breaks, dents, repairs or pitting. The bowl has some expected scratching from use. T is no place for a monogram, thus the piece has never been monogrammed. Please see our other sales this week - lots of good sterling for the same estate.
