We are very pleased to offer 44 pieces of sterling silverware in the Pointed Antique pattern, introduced by Reed & Barton is 1895. The winning bidder will receive the following: nine 6 1/8-inch teaspoons, eight 7 1/4-inch dinner forks, six 8 5/8-inch hollow handle dinner knives with stainless steel blades, two 8 3/8-inch serving spoons, five 7 1/8-inch tablespoons or oval soup spoons, ten 6 3/8-inch salad or dessert fork with cut-out at base of tines, one beautiful 6 1/2-inch shell-shaped sugar spoon, one 5 1/5-inch cream or sauce ladle, one 8-inch meat serving fork with notched left tine, and one 6 3/8-inch pointed jelly server. Dinner knive blades are marked "Reed & Barton Mirrorstele Sterling Handle". All other pieces are marked "Sterling" and have the Reed & Barton marks on the undersides of their handles. Every piece, with the exception of three of the teaspoons, has the initials "GHB" engraved in beautiful cursive lettering on its handle. This silverware is quite old and shows its age. Upon close inspection, we note tiny pits and spots and t on the blades of three of the knives. We also note that one knife has dents to its handle and some damage to one edge of its blade. Finally, we note slight damage to the leading edge of one teaspoon bowl. All pieces otherwise appear to be in good condition, with no dents, dings, or other damage, except as mentioned. Very nice and very charming, even if you don't share the previous owner's initials! If the winning bidder would like, we will include, for no additional charge, one more dinner knife, two teaspoons (one with monograms and one without), and one tablespoon that all are damaged.
