This is a piece made by Reed & Barton Silversmiths, Taunton, Massachusetts. It is marked on the back; Certificate of Registration The Yard This Limited Edition Damascene etching No. 14 produced by Reed & Barton in pure silver, 24 kt. gold electroplate, burnished copper and bronze, has been assigned and permanently registered to: ......... Class of 1950 George Washington University Reed & Barton Silversmiths, Taunton, Massachusetts.....This is an estate item which comes in its original box....and was apparently never used out of the box...It has a gold colored frame and a blue cloth / felt like material for the background. Marked on the front...The Yard The George Washington University....Silver plate is 9 1/2 X 8 1/2 inches......frame is 14 3/4 by 12 3/4 inches....Very difficult piece to photograph and shadows show easily... but I can assure you the color of the metal is great in every respect......No damage....Just a beautiful and rare piece of work from a famous silver smith company....Winner pays $15.00 for insured boxed Priority Mail.
