Hello, and welcome to our eBay auction. We are a consignment shop in Huntingdon Valley , Pennsylvania . You can visit our website by clicking on the âeoemeâe icon in the upper left corner of this listing and checking my Favorite link. It is not a commercial site, but provides location, hours and contact information, along with a brief history. Most of our items will follow the same markdown system that we use in our brick and mortar store. When an item comes in, we price it according to manufacturer, age, condition, and current market value. After one month, if the item does not sell, we mark it down 20%. If another month goes by without a sale, it drops another 10%. This continues until the item sells, the owner takes it back, or it is donated to the local charity thrift store. The exceptions are jewelry and floor samples. You may find items that you like that are pulled. All of the items I list on eBay, are on the floor in my store and this would mean I sold it on the floor. The exception will be open auctions. These items will have a hold put on them until auction end. This was a treat to see. This is the remnants of a set of Sterling Silver Reed & Barton mid century Francis I set. T are 11 five piece place settings which include dinner fork, desert fork, knife (with stainless blade) soup spoon and tea spoon. This set weighs over 80 oz. at today's silver price...well, you can do the math, but please don't buy this set to scrap it, it is a beautiful set. I have no serving pieces, but this is the perfect collection to expand your current set. Insured shipping will require an adult signature. I used a scale to weigh the forks, spoons and knives. When it came to the knives, I estimated. I just found a reference that puts the silver content in the knife handles at one ounce. Revising the calculations, I now get about 80 oz. not over that, as I stated. Thanks, Doug Hi, the knives are Just over 9 3/4" long. The dinner forks are 7 1/4" long, the desert forks are just over 6" long, the soup spoons are just under 6" long and the tea spoons are the same, just under 6".Thanks, Doug
