For your consideration is an Antique Reinhold Schlegelmilch Porcelain Dish, made in Germany ca. 1870s to 1880s , presented in the pictures. This delicate bright white molded and floral-scalloped deep dish has a floral transfer design in several shades of pink, surrounded by greenery. The raised flower-shaped edges are gilded and the yellow flowers appear to be hand-painted. The bowl sits on a multi-ring base. The bowl measures approximately 10-3/8âe across and 2-3/8âe deep. The red makerâe(tm)s mark includes what looks like a building with âeoe S & T âe, âeoe RS GERMANY âe . Please see picture for more details. According to this mark was used by the Reinhold Schlegelmilch Porcelain Factories, Suhl , Thuringia , Germany , ca. 1870s âe" ca. 1880s. CONDITION: Vintage, used . T are no chips, cracks or crazing. The gold is worn. T are 3 tiny spots on the underside that can be felt with a fingernail, but do not appear to be nics in the porcelain. This dish is from my 87 year-old mother-in-lawâe(tm)s antiques collection. She has been collecting antiques for over 50 years. I carefully cleaned the Howard Beeswax from this bowl so as not to damage the porcelain. I am not an expert on Reinhold Schlegelmilch Porcelain. I have described this bowl as accurately as I can.
