Great Estate Collectibles presents another fabulous find!!! Beautiful Religious Icon of Jesus & Mary after he has taken off the cross. The bottom caption reads Blessed Be Thy Holy Name. This is just gorgeous with a reverse painting on the glass of angels a cross etc. The bottom section is of the Last Supper with the 12 Apostles and Jesus, I do not believe that that is painted on the glass - it looks to be a print. That section contains last rights items - a cross and dish for hosts and a silver spoon with a cross on it. These items are all included in this auction. I have sold many religious icons but I believe that this is one of the nicest ones I have ever had because of the subject matter - the detail on Jesus and Mary is just wonderful!! T are 2 little wrought iron pieces on the side of piece which I believe at one time housed candleholders - you could actually just put thin candles inside these.
