SUPERB ANTIQUE BRONZE SILVERED MEDAL OF THE WISDOM & PRECAUTION Backside in french : " THE CAPITALISATION 1888 - 1938 " Engraved on the section of the medal : " BRONZE + punch " Engraved name of the graver : " CH. PILLET " CHARLES PILLET Charles Philippe Germain Aristide Pillet (born in Paris, 1869-1960) was pupil to Chaplain and Chapu and received the Grand Prix de Rome in 1890. He exhibited regularly at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Francais. Pillet exhibited at the Exposition Universelle 1900 in Paris w he was awarded a silver medal. He received a first-class medal in 1905 and the Legion of Honor in 1911. Pillet was awarded a medal of honor in 1923.
