This knife for auction is the 1984 Year Bullet Knife R1303 Lockback. New, Never carried, Never re-sharpened. This knife has some great looking (Derlin) handles, which were designed to be durable and resemble jigged bone. The Clip blade is 3 5/8 inches tip to tang, overall length of 8 Inches and features the Remington Trade Mark blade etching. The front tang of the master clip blade is clearly and distinctly stamped with the encircled Remington UMC and Made In U.S.A. The rear tang of the blade is stamped with production year 1984 and production Number. The knife has been manufactured and assembled in the United States by Skilled American Craftsman. The blade is produced with 440 Stainless Steel and hardened and tempered to a Rockwell reading of 56-59. This 1984 Remington Year Knife is in mint condition . Comes with Remington care sheet. And the original Remington 2 piece box. Sure to increase in value as these are no longer made in the USA these knives are getting hard to find. It is a shame that Camillus could not work out it issues with their Skilled Craftsmen, as now we have lost another USA made high quality knife maker. It seemed like no matter whose name was contracted on the knife, it was easy to identify a Camillus quality made product.
